Beautiful pose, sooo much detail even at this size, that you can see the delicate strands of spiders webs all over the place :toast:

The lichen looks a little blue to me but the bird looks great so I guess the lichen was just a bit blue :)

Great detail Brian.I love the spiders web strands in particular.

1/80th at 500mm?? I guess a tripod was used as well.

Cheers

Hi Brian
That is a cracking perch but not the best pose of a Kingfisher I've seen.

Lovely image and I like the pose he said the same about my KF not that long ago  Beautiful light and detail, love the pose, the large piece of lichen just makes it look at little staged for me.  :wavey:

I bet you're chuffed to bits with this, I know I would be.There's nothing wrong with the pose, it's how they sit most of the time and with this one on your hard drive, you can afford to wait until one stands on its head for you.

Brian, sorry but I have to agree with Craig about the perch. As more people pay to use this site there seems to be a trend to use increasingly unrealistic perches. Andrew

No need to be sorry Andrew, Everyone has the right to there own opinion, some will like it and others like yourself and Craig wont . You cant please everyone
