Chelpie
Playing around testing new camera on the garden birds today. Very little about but haven't posted anything for ages, so here is a hen chaffinch. I do like photographing birds in snow; the underlighting adds a bit of punch, even to something as drab as a hen "chelpie."

An attractive portrait and set against an equally attractive backdrop. I like the viewpoint looking slightly upwards toward the Chaffinch.

Had no idea what a "Chelpie" was. You learn something every day

Lovely image. Good detail, nice catchlight in the eye and lovely BG. I actually find these birds quite difficult to get a really good image of them. Well done. :wavey:

The bird looks lovely and it has a nice, clean beak which makes it cuter. I'd have preferred a more interesting background or perch but the snow under-lighting was worth utilising because you've managed to make a nice, bright image :toast:

Lovely! I don't find chelpies to be "drab", although I didn't know they were called that either. Nice light makes for a pleasing image.
