Home to Roost
this is my first really outing for along time. works finally getting quiet. (no more 60+ hour weeks) hurrah.
i hope to get posting more , and giving some well deserved feedback.
been some cracking photos on here recently.

Spent the afternoon with Eric yesterday on the look out for some bearded tits, they didnt show but the startlings put on a good display.

They came into roost, about 20 feet infront of us in the reed beds.
The noise and chaos was amazing.!! there must have been 3000+ in total.

This is something different and might not be to everyones taste.
Would be interested in what people think.

picture is full width, just cropped to pano.

I quite like it and I find it portrays the chaos well. I'm sure the larger it's presented the more effective it would be.

This scene has potential but I don't think you are quite there with it yet, Mark. A lower POV with more of the rushy background (denser, perhaps?) and less sky, and then you've got something simple but very different. I can't see the EXIF but you may also want to try an even slower shutter speed for an artier effect, if that takes your fancy.

I'm glad you're back out in the field again :toast:

I agree - a slow shutter speed would have created much more of a blur. Maybe you have some?

I Like this one Mark, very different from the norm.
