Redwing
Looks like next week is going to get interesting in bushes and feeding stations.9If the weather report's right.
Single bird in the garden.
D200 Sigma 50-500mm
125th @f8 ISO 500
Slight crop. Had to stretch the Right a bit to get the birds head in the right place. You can see by the shape of the berries !!
Two white twig patches cloned out.

Nice image John. Nothing you can do about the BG, that is where they perch. Although there seems to be a glut of berries this year I have yet to see a Redwing.

Thanks all
Maggie- there's been some big flocks going over this past few days and they're coming from your direction !

Great shot John - I can never get a decent shot of one of these - it is just me or is there a green tint?
Nothing much going on with the birds here in Southern Oxfordshire right now - it's oddly quiet, despite lots of berry-laden bushes and low temperatures. I like this, it's got an authentic, natural look about it and the berry-in-the-beak is a nice touch. Is it a little green or is it time for me to recalibrate?

I do like it John but I am glad someone else noticed but I also see a slight green tinge

Hi John,
lovely shot background is no problem but its more of a Greenwing then a Redwing

Nice capture John
There does seem to be a colour cast but that's easily sorted.
Geoff.

Thanks all.
As you should know I am red green colour blind and its seems to be getting worse. I can see a blue cast no problem-its the greens that are the worst.I can see it when someone points it out though.
Another try

Yes, second one looks much better. Plenty about here but still very skittish.
