Little Egret

Little Egret (Egretta garzetta) - Essex.

Canon 1Ds Mk2, 600/f4 + EF2x extender, WH1 + groundpod.
Manual exposure mode f11, 1/1600, iso 400.
RAW image processed in Capture One; sharpened in Photoshop CS5, full frame.

Not a recent image, in fact it is dated 2007, but I made a print of it today so I thought I would post a jpeg. As is typical, some of the edges showed quite a bit CA due to the use of the 2x. I’ll be interested to hear how the new Canon teleconverters perform in this respect.

Excellent! I had given up on my x2 on the 600, but perhaps I need to try a bit harder.
