This side of the Painted Hills seems to be getting more trigger time than the Iconic view - anyway, here is my take on the morning with Rick and John..

Hey Ned, This turned out really nice...you got more of those grasses...better!
Ned,
I Never get tired of shots from this area. The grass is a cool addition to this scene. I'm supprised that the grass froze with the shutter speed you used. It must have been pretty calm out there.

This is gorgeous Ned, you captured this scene very well. You composed the elements well and I love the FG grasses. Well done.
Someone needs to go out there and cut down that dead tree on the left.
I like the scene, Ned, but I have two nits, The first is the sun/shade line just above the tops of the grass. I know you were out there shooting in between cloud breaks so it couldn't be helped, but still..
Two, is the tightness of the grasses to the bottom of the photo. Yeah, I know, the grasses don't grow in an orderly fashion where we can find a nice clean separation of clumps, but still..

This is a great spot for a small step ladder, or Kareem to shoot. This is the only realy good take I got on this trip - but there is always May again.............................................................................................................................................................
Hey....this looks familiar....needs a thunderstorm An excellent image Ned. Extremely enjoyable. Can't fault it in any way.

Thanks Marc for giving us the incentive to try out hand here. I've shot this side before, but was never there for such great morning light. Of course, it was only my second trip to the area...
