Phil i like the almost perfect reflection on this and the colour of the water is great.

Hi Phil
You know my views on reflections
I think the bird and the stone and colours on this are superb.
I would have cropped just above the birds feet in the reflection. Not many will agree but thats just my personal view. Including the reflection somehow has put the bird high in the frame which seems to have altered the balance
Lovely shot though.
Cheers
John

Fantastic colours! I'm with John on the reflection here, because the rest of the image is strong enough to stand on it's own. Beautiful!

Phil

Interesting image and I too imho feel the reflection detracts from the impact somewhat of a first class capture.

Difficult to know which way to go re composition.
If the bird was looking to the left then a portrait crop would have worked better, if you did that with this one the bird would be looking out of the image.
Personally I wouldn't mind having this in my portfolio as it is
Well done.

Geoff.

Phil I have to agree with the majority. I would definitely lose the reflection. It is a lovely image but too high up in the frame. :toast:

Lovely lighting, and great colours, but I'm afraid the reflection detracts a bit!

The comp isn't quite right for me either.
