I haven't posted anything for some time. We had never been to the Paint Mines and drove down on Sunday. Clear skies and high winds made it a challenge, but I still had fun following the shadows around. C&C Welcome.

Im hoping for a blizzard, that would give me incentive to head up there. Glad you made it out. I really like #3, its very different from the usual Mines stuff, and pretty cool. Your WB seems a bit off in 1 and 2--those areas look pretty white usually even in low light, i think if you warmed it up it would help the reds too.

Ditto what Stan said.

Some very interesting colors and textures. I've never been there, so the tint in the white sandstone did not bother me.
Very nice symmetry in #1. You might consider cropping a little off the bottom. I think I like the 4x5 aspect ratio better because it enhances the top-bottom symmetry.

I think a crop isolating the right pedestal in #2 would work to give one focus feature.

I like the composition and scene in #1 quite a bit. Seems like it could use a bit more warmth, though.
I'd never heard of this place 'til recently here. Hope you get a chance to return more often!
