Grey Heron
Evening everyone, this image of a Grey Heron was taken during my recent visit to the Isle Of Skye. It's actually standing in a small steam, you can just see it to the bottom left of the image. Not sure about the comp on this one. I thought there was too much dead space(reeds) at the top, so I've cropped it. It does look unusual habitat for a Heron, but it was in water honest  . All C&C's most welcome please. Thanks for looking.
Regards,
Paul :wavey:

Well it certainly seems a bit different Paul. Personally I think you could have shot this as a landscape to give the bird a bit more room to look into. Herons can be real awkward sods to compose and, as presented here, this one doesn't quite work for me.

Paul, I think the crop works. The light is good, background orks well and the image is tack sharp. Andrew

Some lovely detail around the Eye Paul.
You must have been quite close to get this.
Well done.

Geoff.

Some good detail I think maybe landscape might have been better, but I still like it
