Skylark
Canon EOS-1D Mk4 EF500mm f/4L IS USM. ISO 800, f/5.6 1/320th sec. Where has all the decent light gone?

Well captured.
The poor wildlife are having a tough time at the moment.

David i really like this the bird sitting in the snow and the darker bg with snow flakes make it an excellent image in my eyes.

Yes, captures the weather conditions beautifully. Our wildlife is having a tough time of it at present, and that comes across well here.

I feel the cold just looking at the image says it all.

Spot on. The inclusion of the upper half showing the driving snow emphasises the conditions. I reckon it would also work in a different way if the top was cropped out to give a pano of the bird isolated in the white. Excellent shot either way.

Lovely image, agree with Robert about the crop to pano. Gives it an arctic tundra feel, but works either way.
