Starling
500mm f5 1/100 iso640 Full Frame

Hi all

I'm besieged by starlings at the moment and they're wiping out the food on the bird table as fast as I can put it out!
Beautiful birds though, but always tricky to photograph as the eye detail often gets lost in the plumage. I think the reflected light from the snow has helped bring out the colour detail in its plumage here although best to view the larger image to appreciate more.

There's no blown highlights on the original but that might not be the case on this web version!

You've captured some beautiful colours in this wonderful bird. Excellent.

A little larger in the frame than my personal preference, but I love the plumage colours and the snow on the end of the beak.

Nice and colourful shot.
I feel some more space on tne left would be better.
We hardly ever see them here in the forest

That's one colourful starling! You've shown this bird beautifully, although I agree the background is a bit busy.
