Wind? What wind?
Not a great photograph by any stretch of the imagination, but it's been so long since I've posted anything that I thought I'd better, or I might be kicked off the team. This is from the little storm that rolled through last week. Right before sunrise the wind kicked up and started scouring the fresh snow off the ground. It was brutal! But I must say, now that I live back in Colorado Springs, where Garden of the Gods is less than 15 minutes away, I can stand some brutal mornings.

It looks so windy, you might even need one of those bank robber masks to keep warm.

Really neat effect with all that stuff blowing, Todd. Cant wait to get back there.

Brrrrrr....that looks cold Todd...I always thought you lived in Colorado Springs.

Not bad--i like it Todd! Hope you soaked in the snow while you could, cause unfortunately, it looks like the severe drought that we are in is only going to get worse--no sign of snow or rain (other than very slight chance late tonight) though the next couple of weeks :frown:

I think this is quite fantastic. Nice job.

Nice to see you back in form again. Also nice to see that we can post still images to the main forum (..may that never change!).
What really caught my eye is the yucca that's not enveloped in the 'breeze'. Gives this a lot of dimension and shows the power of that wind better.

I'd never know if this was fog or windblown snow without the story. It definitely sounds brutal! The shot was worth it to get this kind of "glow" effect without the need for Photoshop (but maybe the need for a good scarf, hood, gloves, etc. etc.)

I like this Todd. The conditions remind me of all my winter trips to RMNP.

With temps in the 60s much of December so far in Sedona, these conditions seem so foreign! Not that I'm complaining one bit! Cool shot with a nice mood to it.

Nice shot, Todd! Remembering a oh dark 30 morning meeting in RMNP for a shoot but weather was similar. There was some towing out of a drift involved - eh? But it was all fun afterwards.

I disagree with your "not a great photograph." This is a really nice shot. It conveys the message of, "Cold, damned cold."

Very nice! Really conveys wind!

I dunno, looks like FOG to me!

I think it's a great shot, Todd! Love the soft colors, and the misty blowing snow.

I'll just ditto what Jack said. Excellent shot. I feel ya, Baby. I'm too busy and can't find any motivation in this transition time between fall and winter. I've definitely got the "post fall blahs."
