A Coal Tit from the weekend, light wasn t to brilliant but with all the snow on the ground it gave me some decent light, but it was absolutely freezing it amazes but me how these little fellas survive.

JR has summed this one up Karen. I don't see how this could be improved upon as a portrait of the bird. Detail in both the the black head and the white cheek is spot on and the bright catchlight puts real life into it. Background is nicely complimentary and unobtrusive and the reflected light from the snow has given it a wonderfully delecate quality. Beautiful.

JR
wonderful shot and background
It must be very difficult for these small birds during this cold spell.
Well captured.
Geoff.
The reflective nature of the snow has certainly lit up a great little subject
A delicate perch suits the subject.
Great stuff!
