HYBRID OR NOT?
One for the experts.
Is this bird a hybrid between a White-faced and Glossy Ibis?

interesting bird, Ronnie. I'm no ibis expert, but I think you're right. The iris is definitely red (WFIB), but there's a blue border around the facial skin (GLIB). I took a quick look at Kaufman's article in his Advanced Birding book, and this bird does seem in between.
