This is just a reminder to tell everyone not to forget to comment on other images especially when you post your image.

NPN Staff Suggestion - For every photo you post, comment on at least five!

I know we all get busy and don't always have a lot of time but commenting is very important for all of us as we are growing as Photo Artists. A lot of you do comment and I thank you but others need to do a little more. I would appreciate everyones efforts.

It seems like participation has increased greatly over the last 6 months in terms of posting... now we just need that to be followed with constructive commenting!

Will try to make a concerted effort to do so, David.

I'd like to say something as a 4-month NPNer now rather than a total and complete NPN newbie. I've seen along the way that people have said that just saying something is great or you like something doesn't really qualify as a good comment. Now after four months I don't agree with that.

Everybody knows I have needed and still need all the constructive criticism I can get, and I have taken it all to heart and grown from it. But I have to tell you that when someone just says they like something I do, I grow from that, too. I really, honestly do.

Also, I am still not willing to make constructively critical comments myself. I don't know when I'll get to that point. I am happy to answer specific questions -- do you like the color or b&w better, things like that. But other than that I am only commenting on what I like. I am trying to be as specific as possible in doing that, though.

So I don't know if that helps anyone else with regard to posting, but maybe it will.

You're right, David. I'm working on it! An image must really draw me to leave a comment. I can't force it. There are SO many images here every day. Quality, not quantity, I say. (that last comment is in no way a reflection of what I think of the great art I view in the forums, it simply describes my own response trigger).
