Bittern

Taken at the LWT last weekend - fantastic light, but they were a long way away - four within 100m, in the same line of reeds - they all flew to roost, and one, while I was waiting for a woodcock to turn up at 4:30pm, flew less than 20m away from the hide!

I couldn't fill the frame with this, so I thought I would put it in its habitat.

I'd be tempted to crop out a big chunk of that foreground water Oscar as I don't think it adds anything to the image.
