Mountain Hare and Rabbit
I was photographing mountain hares yesterday, I spotted this one sitting in a hollow in the snow as I watched I noticed a rabbit on is burrow next to the hare. The rabbit was trying to get out but every time he tried , the hare would smack across the head forcing him back into the hole. I was there for over two hours and the poor rabbit never got out during that time.

Its a cruel world

Have you any idea as to why it was doing this? Anybody?

Great story would also love to know the reasoning. Interesting image rarely see them together.

Remarkable timing Ron, a superb behavioural shot and well worth all your effort. :toast:
