ID Bird Aurora Colorado
Aurora Colorado 12/9/10

There were quite a few of these at the NWR but I never go close enough to image. About the size of a crow and looked much like one perched in a tree when seen from behind-but when it flew it had a white belly and these markings on the back.

Looks like a black-billed magpie. Pretty common around the foothills and a very resourceful bird.
