Nikon D2X + 600mm AFS II + 1.4 conv.
Gitzo tripod + wimberley.
Sorry its a bit full in your face, but no time to whip off the convertor.
I know the branch in the background is a distraction, but not to goood at cloning things out.

Know the feeling about being overgunned... its a nice image of the wren singing, I would prefer a less steep angle and unfortunately the light looks like it was harsh and did you no favours.....

Better than anything I have of this species though, I can never find them in the open...

All the best

A pace to the left would posibly have solved the background branch problem, and a pop of fill flash would just lift the colours, other than that a not bad at all image. Titchwell?

Many thanks Phil & Nigel for your comments.
Phil thie bird in question just suddenly appeared and half deafened me with its song. So the angle was non adjustable so to speak.
Yes it was Titchwell Nigel. How did you know I wonder?
The only problem being at the time was a couple who parked themselves right behind me just as I was taking the shots. Panicked and couldn,t get on to the bird again after doing my step to one side. Such is life.
