Taken in North Wales in the early evening. My first real attempt at dippers and I'm happy with it but alot of improvement needed

As the light was very low and dull I tried experimenting with slow shutter speeds, this image was one reasonable image out of 40+ attempts. I'll hopefully trying the same again with better light and a lower iso now I've found a decent site :)

Full frame 1/10 second @ f9 iso 400
Canon EOS20D, 600mm + EFIIx1.4TC
Tripod mounted with a heavy bean bag thrown over the lens to try to dampen any camera movement and cable released.

Kevin,
Excellent effort especially in such bad light.

I think this is great apart from needing a little more space, I like the fact that you can see its enviroment, the fast flowing water. It kept nice and still for you.

Hi Kevin,

I like the idea, and you are getting there, here it is a bit tight in the frame, if you are trying to show the movement in the water I would like to see it better defined, perhaps loose the converter for a wider FoV and a touch more DoF.

All the best

Hi Kevin
Great first effort, a tad tight in the frame, you done well with the exposure. I hope to try these this year.
