Another from my small mammals series. This little fellow was caught inside and would have been for the chop otherwise!
There was heavy snow around the house so I made up the set to reflect this and I attempted to get right down to the mouses eye view to show of its huge eyes and ears.
Hope you like it!
Canon EOS, Velvia 100F, 50mm f/1.8 with 13mm extension tube at about 1/60, f/3.5
I would be happy with this if I'd taken it in the wild but with a controlled situation personally I would of looked to get a greater dof whilst still leaving the bg oof. A slight head turn to our right may of improved the composition?
Niall,
like the composistion, like the idea, but agree with Kevin re the depth of field. A tad more & it would be a cracker. (Still great though & i would be happy with it!)
Hi, good concept, but I'm afraid given that it is a controlled situation I think a lot more could have been made of the image, I find that the bg competes with the subject a bit too much and as said more could have been made of the DoF....
I have other images with greater DoF but unfortunately they lack any impact and show less character in the mouse. I will work harder with the backgrounds and try again!
