Tree and forest photography are probably the most elusive of the disciplines within the world of landscape photography. That said I've got a few from my recent trip to Scotland that I'm pretty happy with. Since I'm no expert, I've enlisted the aid of a couple of my favourite photographers, both on NPN, who have mastered the art of tree and forest photography, Dietrich Gloger and Lon Overacker for comments on my latest article "Seeing the Trees and the Forest".

Thanks Kah Kit and company for putting this together. I actually spend a lot of time doing tree images and practically never get a keeper. I'll approach it a little differently going forward.

Thank you, Kah Kit. I found this quite informative. Dietrich's and Lon's images are very inspiring.

Thanks! I've been struggling with tree photography ever since I've started photographing, and I guess, in spite of your nice and informative article, I'll be struggling for some more years.
