Christmas Wishes from Afar
I was looking for another photo and came across this from an assignment I was on a few years back.

It made me wonder where these "kids" are today and roused holiday good wishes for all our service personnel, at home or far away.

Intense....

Good choice of a word. I was in the middle of a winter "war game," and the noise was unbelievable. It's as close to combat I ever want to be, and emphasized the youth on those faces.

Here's another from the shoot.

Wonderful shot Hank. It does show the intensity of the situation. As a Nam Vet I can attest that most movies and other media just can't depict the true terror and chaos of a combat situation. It seems like every generation has its own war. Too bad the human race just can't just learn to get along.

May all our servicemen and women have a safe and joyous Holiday Season. :wavey:

Thanks Hank for the reminder that all too many young men and women are at war once again this Christmas. May they all have a wonderful Holiday. Merry Christmas to you and your family too Hank.

Hank, the shots you posted here brought to mind my own military days up there in Alaska and traveling the entire state working on the DEW Line Sites back then. I sincerely hope all the military folks have a very safe holiday season too.
