So who received a photography-related gift this year?

My daughter gave me an iPhone gift card so as soon as the next version is released, I'll be getting one of those.

Donna and I gave each of our three a Flip video camera. It turns out that our son already has one, so I traded him the new Flip camera for some cash (they are always happy with the $$). I'll be trying it out during the snow storm tonight and tomorrow.

Maybe we'll need a NPN video forum?

HI Jim

My wife gave me a hot shoe double bubble, which is what I really wanted, to replace one I broke. It's the fifth or sixth double bubble I've had - an indispensable piece of equipment.

Merry Christmas to all!

Gitzo 1541 and RRS BH-30 here. I got her a 1531 and the same head last year, and she finally took pity as I continue to lug heavier versions. She swears up and down she wasn't saying I'm getting too old for the big loads. Those are my own words! :jump:

4-430 EX II Flashes, light stands, mini bullheads for my high speed hummingbird setup! Woo hoo. Also a couple of B&H gift cards. Santa was very nice to me this year

I thought I was getting an iPad (yes, that's photo-related!), but I got a Drobo instead. Which is good since I'm running out of HD space. Video files add up quickly!

I got to spend the day photographing in a fog-shrouded desert without another person in sight. Better than any gift you could buy.

Gail got me a Dell U2410 24 inch monitor. it is super. Displays 95% of Adobe RGB colors and works well with my old 19 monitor as the second seat for PS tools.

Santa didn't bring any photo gifts, but he did give me enough cash to purchase a smaller Tamrac Velocity convertible hip pack that will hopefully be a bit easier to manage while hiking  My husband's back thanks Santa

Santa left me a Benro tripod. This is my first "heavy duty" tripod. I am hoping it helps the clarity of some of my longer exposures.

Wow, now that you mention it, I did get all kinds of photo-related stuff from my wife & son... an Opteka grip for mounting my 5D2 for hand-held video, a canvas bag for my Manfrotto tripod, two extra RC2 quick-release plates for the ball head, two Lexar 4GB CF cards, a ThinkTank Cable Management 10 pouch, and with a money gift from my folks I ordered a Think Tank Retrospective 20 camera bag. My family really took care of me this year!

Oh, and like Bill, I ordered my self a Nik Software gift, Viveza 2.

Got two Amazon gift cards to help out and just now ordered a Canon Rebel T2i with 18-55 and 55-250 lenses. :jump: I'm sure it's just a first step in lenses, but the whole concept and purchase is a really important first step for me. One can only agonize for so long over which is the best deal. After a certain point the time spent agonizing starts costing money.

I got a week off work. That was pretty photography related!
