If any mac users ever wanted to purchase Aperture 3 but where put off by the price... apple are selling it for £45 on the new computer app store at the moment.
Considering that, even before the vat rise this week, they snuck a humungous price rise from £129 to £169 recently, that's pretty good going! (was £129 this time last year).
Off to have a look... maybe worth bagging another license for the future at that price!!!

Not had any issues with it at all - import stuff from MkII's and MkIII's and from a 5DII (including video) without any issues at all. Mind, because of the size of my library (250K images), I didn't upgrade it from A2 in one go, but split the projects down and imported them bit by bit. So that may have helped keep it running better. I also import from card using Photomechanic because Aperture can't rename the files the way I want, then import those into Aperture.
The only issues I've had were caused by the ATI xt1900x graphics card which was having memory problems (Apple finally issued a replacement/recall note in november after 4yrs!) - replaced that with a new 1Gb Ati 5770 and running nicely, and it seems Apple are going to refund the replacement price too.
