Guys- I will start it off with an image from yesterday in the Kremmling area. Foggy and very frosty on this old fence post. Didn't have the right equipment along for macros but, I thought this comp would work.
It is a shame that you didn't have the equipment along for macros, that frost is great. I took this December 2007. It was one of my first with my digital camera.

Ok, so it's not winter per se, but I grabbed this shot on Cottonwood Pass during a snowy fall colors trip a few years back. At least it felt wintery...

Sunlight reflected in the South Platte River with an icy overhang. Photographed in Eleven Mile Canyon, near Lake George. ISO 200, f22 at 1/6th second.

And then something to cool you off again...

And then something to completely freeze you over! (I know I was frozen after crawling back here and sitting on the ice to take this shot). I took this a couple days ago and prepared it on a lousy new laptop monitor, so hopefully it looks decent...
Here is one from a few years ago at Zapata Falls. Great stuff so far!

Did some archive diving and come across this one from (I think) the slopes of Mt Bross. Dedicated to my "love" of wind Beautiful entries everyone!

Some wonderful work so far, folks. Here's my contribution from the Snowy Range. Technically it's an autumn image, but it sure felt and looked like winter.

Amazing images so far! This job just keeps getting harder and harder! This is from this morning up in RMNP. The wind was only blowing 30+MPH, with the 4" of fresh powder it made for a lot of fun!

This early snow storm caught my friend and I off-guard, but we were able to rummage around and find an umbrella to shield against the wet flakes. Which turned out to be a little ironic.

Love it, Roger. If it were any other umbrella, but not as much.
Here is one I took in Boston last week from the old granary cemetary where Paul Revere is buried. We got 18 inches of snow last Wednesday and it was freakin cold all week.
And another warm/cold one from last week. Sunset at the Arlington Street Church.

Morning after 36 hours of snowfall at the Grand Canyon.

This was taken right before Christmas as our only decent winter storm cleared that evening. Looks like for January, we will amass 0.00 inches of LaNina precip. - uggh
Man! Nice stuff all around. Here's a little "art in nature" wildlife.

Here's a shot I took last week of Spider Rock in Canyon de Chelly.

Wonderful images everyone, as usual!
Here's my contribution this month, from one of my favorite winter destinations, Mayflower Gulch near Copper Mountain. Great spot to snowshoe in and shoot sunset.
Wonderful collection above! This is one from the Sand Dunes in a rare condition of capturing snow on the dunes. For scale you can see some people at the top left.

Wow Koveh is right!!! I've been hoping to get a shot like that for years! Those lines in the snow just add to the already awesome abstract-ish feel of this! Koveh FTW!

Great stuff. I like Jacks and Rogers for their behind the scenes view.
