Why it pays to look BEHIND you...
I drove through the Garden of the Gods this afternoon, and spotted what I thought might be a good sunset location for the west side of the Kissing Camels. I went back later, climbed up to the spot, and it did indeed look like a good spot. Everything was there... a nice clean view, some foreground, even some clouds. But, the sun wasn't cooperating. I turned around to see what else was going on and the view in the other direction was great.
I'm not sure that this is a great photo, but the clouds were too good to pass up...

Too funny, Bob. Look what I posted right after you put this up. Was that you at the Mesa overlook? If so, you need gloves!

Amazing shot.

I think it's a very good photo because you got a nice silhouette in there that somewhat reflects the arc of the clouds. Lesson learned.
