Need help, please.
I have a new logo/watermark I want to use with my images.
The designer drew it on a MAC; I have a PC. (If that matters)
When she sent it to me as an attachment, it comes through NOT as an attachment, but in the body of the email. When I right-click to save it, it is saved in a "secure download, PNG" format.
My CS5 does not recognize this and will not open it for re-sizing.
I'm not even sure I'm explaining this right.. but can anyone give me some ideas on how to open it?
Have her save the file as either a tiff or psd. She should be able to attach the file to an e-mail. If by chance the file is in the body of the message, select it, right click and choose 'Save As...' Change the file name to something different (don't change the extension) and then save it to a folder. You should then be able to open it PS.
She could also upload the file to a file sharing site such as SkyDrive. You could then download it.
Let us know what happens.

Sandy,
I work on a Mac and whenever I need to send files to a PC the simple way around it is to put the file in a folder and attach the folder to the Mac email. The person receiving it on the PC will receive the folder with the file, intact, inside it.

Hmmm... I think Photoshop supports the PNG format. I wonder if it's something particular with that file?
You could try to open the PNG in another program that supports them, such as the free (and great) Irfanview. Then you can save it as a TIFF or JPG.

Sandy, when you right-click to save, can you change the format, i.e., save it as a BMP or TIFF?
The other option is create a blank PS doc and then go File-->Place and insert the file that way and see if it's editable as a Smart Object. If that works you can then right-click the LAYER and choose Rasterize, then you can save the file in any format you'd like.
Any chance the designer copy-protected the file? Can you do that with a PNG?

We'll try these things asap.
