Dear Morris
So, it looks like your plan to put some of us on a guilt trip is working. There is no rhyme or reason to why I chose these images, other than they're ones I'd been playing around with and they've all been sitting on my hard drive, in one case for years. Your enthusiasm for photography and this forum are contagious, Morris. A hearty "Thanks" to you!
Paul

This first image is a replica Seneca Longhouse in Upstate, NY.

This place needs no introduction.
Update: I guess it does need an intro. Flattop Mtn in RMNP.

Wasn't even sure if this would see the light of day until I came up with a title - "Grassfire". I'd gone to shoot the Flatirons, but the light in that direction didn't materialize, but behind me, Wow!

Hatrock at Hall Ranch. My goto place when I'm feeling lazy or have little time. Unfortunately, that's been the case lately.

#2 is really special Paul. The gradient of the light on the snow, the lines going through the image, clouds around the peak. Great composition, even though the image is split in the middle by the ridge it works here, so much for rules! #3 is also quite nice, I like the detail in the silhouetted grass. :toast:

That second photo looks like it belongs on the front of a book! It's simple with a lot of space for text.

I have always admired your processing skills, and these are no exceptions, Paul! The first is a fine artistic interpretation, #2 is a crazy good comp and the clouds put it over the top, phenomenal sky in #3, and sweet light and color in the last one. What an excellent set of images! :toast:

Here's another vote for number 2 but they are all good for sure.

The snow scene and sunrise (?) are great shots!

#2 is a beaut, Paul!
It one of those photos that make me say, "I wish I were there!"
Nice simple comp with serenity in the forground and lots of emotion in the mountains.
Thanks for posting!

Another vote for #2, the sky in #3 is amazing.

I find the color treatment of #1 intriguing. Love #2 and #3!

All of these images are great. I like old buildings and B&W processing/toning, so #1 is my fave of the bunch.

Geez, these are all excellent! I like the IR look in #1. Unfortunately, I do need an introduction to #2. It just cries out 'cold Colorado winter'. I like it a lot !
First thing that crossed my mind viewing #3 was 'wildfire!'. My favorite of the group. #4 hasn't received much love, but I sure enjoy the muted light and tilted geology of the place.
Thanks for dusting these off and sharing them here!

Sorry folks, I should have mentioned that #1 is an IR image. For those who don't frequent RMNP, #2 is the spires on Flattop Mtn, taken near Dream Lake.

As one who is partial to suffering for one's art, I like the Flattop shot the best!

Grassfire is a stunning shot :toast:
