Raptor ID - New Jersey, yesterday (CAUTION graphic, dead deer)
Can someone please help me identify this raptor? Taken yesterday in NW NJ. Thanks in advance!

Almost certainly a red-tailed hawk. With all of the snow we have been getting these birds are getting desperate...today/tomorrow's snowstorm is only making things worse.

Definitely a Red-tailed Hawk

Juvenile red-tailed hawk! Red-tails, even in times of "plenty" (as regards prey species populations), have no compunctions about gorging on fresh road-kills. But I've noticed over the years that the carrion-feeding red-tails are, with rare exceptions, juveniles.
