Hi folks, Nancy & I attended a meeting of the Art Collective in Issaquah last night and they are sponsoring an Art Walk in Issaquah on May 5th. Entry cost is only $10.00!! For that frugal amount you can display a set of prints in a local business for one night of Artistic communal fun!!
The Art Collective of Issaquah is also working on an artist's co-op which will include a gallery on Front Street in which they will sell both member's work and consignment work for VERY reasonable costs to the artist.
Issaquah is suddenly awakening as quite the art center!!
The Art Collective is also working on organizing an auction to help raise funds to get the co-op up and running. This would be a GREAT way to get one's work out there and seen in the local market place. Do understand that all art pieces are donated to ACI so you wouldn't get any funds back but your work would be seen on the local market place. So I asked if they'd be interested in pieces from photographers in Oregon and they said most certainly!! (I'm trying to be inclusive of all our PNWNP membership here)
