Following up on a comment by Darren Huski in one of the threads I spent some time last night looking at some of the other Regions' pages. One thing I noticed was a paucity of great images. Some of the forums have less than 10 postings for the entire month of January.
Contrast that with the incredible images that have been posted on RMNP in just the PAST 4 Days! We truly do have a very deep pool of talent in the Rocky Mountain region.
Thanks, Morris, for calling everyone out and getting us all off our duffs.
See ya'll tomorrow night.
Edit: I should explain, I'm not saying there aren't any great images on the other forums or questioning the talent of those folks. Just saying that other regions are posting very infrequently while I can pick at least 50 images from the RMNP forum in the past week that I'd be proud to hang on my walls. Keep em coming folks.

Interesting, that's one thing I noticed about the NE section forum - and during their fall color season - top boot! No one seemed to be posting anything. I posted a couple images and got maybe a couple replies, but not much local action there. This was two years ago, so things may have changed...

I've spend some time in other forums when planning for some upcoming trip and in my opinion, this forum is much more active. I'm sure that's why it's so much fun hanging around here. Really a great group of guys and gals here!
Laurie, you are so right. Hold the phone! When was the last time you posted? Bring it soon, Ms. Wendt!
I just doubt that anyone else on the other forums has my "affliction" with a combination of being off work and bored, and a psychotic love of good nature photographs. And I imagine all they need over there is someone to "remind" them in a very "loving" way to get off their butts and increase their participation a smidgeon.
If any of you guys from the other forums are reading this, Don't make me come over there.
You have so much talent on the other regional forums too, that you just don't realize who you are depriving when we drop in for a visit.
There is also the personal ego issue. Some forums are just plagues with insecure and over-competetive crowd. We are really fortunate to have none of that here. With a few exceptions but we just know how to ignore them
I've noticed the same thing, this is the most active forum by far. This forum posts more in one week then some of the others post in 2 or 3 months and it kind of baffels me as to why they don't post more.

"... it kind of baffels me as to why they don't post more."
Not me. Looking at all the natural beauty that's encompassed by our 7 Intermountain West states, I'm baffled why we don't see more activity here!
