OK, this is a slow time for most Flora shooters but winter still offers opportunities. Bundle up and do some cold weather imaging and post your results the week of February 13-19.

Hey, Bill, You've often said, "Anything that grows ..." So how about images taken last week of my growing pile of boxes? :jump:

 "-25 here, will head out tomorrow and find myself a frozen treasure! Cheers "

Lorna: even with a + in front of it 25 is cold for me, unless you're using C° in which case your -25 would be relatively balmy

Bill, I can't wait -- LITTERALLY, I can't wait! I'm going to post a winter leaf shot TONIGHT, after I return from my afternoon snowshoe walk. (I will have lots more for the theme week.) And Sandy, you don't have to feel sorry for all of us. Here are a couple of very recent family pictures that show how much FUN snow can be. The grandkids really got a kick out of walking across the local lake where they were in the canoe a few months ago. We would really miss it if we didn't have this wonderful variety of our seasons.

Wayne, I do love snow - but I like to go to it, play for a few days, then come home to safer driving, higher temps, and less arthritis pain ! Snowy winters in Oregon for 15 yrs, and for my first 20 years in Ohio - so that's enough living in it for me!
Great pics - you look terrifc!

Sorry Bill, I did not make it out today for my frozen treasure ,decided to stay in and do macro instead. Today was -32 C with a -39 wind chill, my face still hurts from yesterdays five hours outside. Will not wimp out tomorrow!!! Winter flora or hypothermia, It's a toss up!!!!Sandy I am with you , we have just moved from the warm southern coast of British Columbia to the frozen north of Alberta, some how I think we made a wrong turn!Cheers

Hmmm.... Just found out we have two to three feet of new snow on the way. I think that when I am raking it off my roof, southern BC and maybe even California will look mighty inviting! But after a little rest, I'll be glad that I can get to the snow right out side the door for some fun. I know a lot of poeple head to the "Sun Belt" to retire, but the snow is a lot more inviting now that I don't have to drive to work every day, and I can just go out and take pictures of snow, ice and frozen twigs when I feel like it.

Right on, Wayne! Love the pics you put up, too. The children look so happy; in fact, you all do!

In the PNW of course it's rain and rain and rain. If you don't bundle up and go, many great photo ops get missed. Looking forward to the theme week, too.
