I just got my renewal notice and in the email it says this:

Please note that a current membership is now required to log on to the NPN website and post in our galleries and forums. Full information on the benefits of NPN membership can be found here - http://www.naturephotographers.net/members.html

I'm actually considering not renewing, because money is very tight and I need to put the funds elsewhere.

So I guess I won't be able to participate in the forums any longer? Or am I misunderstanding?

Hi Rodney,

Your understanding that membership is now required to post to any of the forums and galleries is correct. NPN made the change a couple of months ago.

I understand about money being tight. We would miss your input and images if you don't renew, but you have to do what you have to do. I hope it works out for you and you can re-up, but maybe we will see your posts again soon if you can't do it now.

All the best.

Thanks Harley. This was the first year I joined. Kinda disappointing that everyone has to pay. i haven't had any nibbles off the portfolio, which was why I joined last year, so I figured I would let it expire.

Was there a thread elsewhere discussing the move to a paid forum?

Well, you can still lurk and read posts and view images until you can renew.

Just thought I would let everyone know that the situation has been rectified to the good.

Thanks,
