Hi all: This is my first image on this forum after joining in October. I have seen so many amazing photos since joining and am glad to be a part of this auspicious gathering of great, very active and imaginative photographers. While I don't feel I am in your league, I will continue to strive to improve, learn and create.
I took this image on December 26, 2010 at Mammoth Lakes, CA looking east toward the White Mountains at sunset. This is one in a series of shots I took for a pano (haven't had time to do the pano yet).
Canon 60D, 1/80, f/8.0, ISO 400, 42mm
Please have at it with any C&C and I will listen to all.

Looks like you captured a fantastic sunset. Not sure that any improvements are necessary.

Welcome! a beautiful image with a great sky. The techs look good from capture to processing and the only thing I could suggest for an improvement would be to try to find a foreground element to include to try to give a sense of more depth in an image. Some progression of elements to lead the eye through. This, of course, is not always possible.

Welcome aboard, Frank. This is a beautiful scene and the type of sky we (photographers) all strive for. I'm with Morris about foreground elements, but in a case like this, the mountains were probably too far away for a foreground element to have had much effect. I think some tele shots would have worked well. I look forward to seeing more of your work.
