I hear the resolution is great, but I'm not sure its worth the gain in weight and size.

I've heard the front element is prone to freezing?
So neat!

This might be good for desert trips - it will scale down automatically.

Large format for sports photography? This one ought to be able to freeze the action.

I was there on Sunday night and all of these sculptures were spectacular with the changing colored lights on them. At night, that front lens is actually translucent, which was backlit in a different color. After seeing them at night, I don't want to go back again during the day, especially with the extra weekend crowds. (I also avoided the awful Sunday afternoon traffic on I-70 coming back later.)

I hear there's problems with this body... the weathersealing fails when it's exposed to mositure and heat. I just can't take that chance of having an important shoot end in a major meltdown. There's talk of a successful firmware fix at the R&D center in St. Cloud, Minnesota, but for some reason the manufacturing line in Scottsdale, AZ hasn't been successful installing it. This could put a freeze on production, which the Marketing Department keeps insisting would be a good thing.

The biggest problem is batteries. They just don't last in the cold.

Your dark cloth could double as your tent and what a swimming pool to develop your negs?

"Freeze-frame! Snapshot image froze without a sound" (J.Geils Band)

Pretty cool!

I hear they'll be giving these away by summer

In all seriousness, that's quite a nifty task, making something like that in the snow. Best I could do is a Charlie Brown snowman.

BTW Nate, I think it's time to hit your sensor with a little Dust-Aid... kinda spotty in the sky, lol!

haha i know! I just went to take some snapshots.. it was way too cold for me to worry about dust at that point!
