I would appreciate some help with an ID here. I'm presuming it's some type of Sandpiper, but, my searches have not identified one like this with yellow/orange legs. The image was taken last October on Long Island Sound in Connecticut. Thanks in advance.

After posting I saw Rob Drummond's excellent image posted in avian. I had previously rejected this possibility as the images I saw on Garth McElroy's site were in breeding plumage. I do appreciate your expert help.
