Through the Fog
I hiked up above the fog the other morning in the pitch black to see what I could see. On the way up the ridge, I didn't know it at the time, but I walked within five yards of an extremely fresh lion kill. I noticed it on the way back down in the light.

#1 Oquirrh Fog

C&C if you want and thanks for looking!

#3 Flow of the fog. On the ridge in the middle right the two dark specks are a couple of mule deer.

no mas.

Really like the first 2, with 2 being my favorite.

I like all of them and I probably will like #1 and 2 even more tonight when I can view these in a dark room. Exceptionally cool light in #2.

Like all. Your treatment of the light in conjunction with your composition make for very nice images.

Be careful around those big cats.

Really nice stuff, with #2 being a mind-blower. Did you get any shots of the fresh kill? And where's the snow???

These are great Jeff, and I even like the third (though it could maybe stand to lose a little off the top). I really enjoy the graceful curves of the mountains in #2 and #3.

#'s 1 & 2 definitely need to be seen in a darker room. I think a wee bit more detail might be helpful.
I like #3 quite a bit. Rather sensual, if I say so myself.
Great series, Jeff!

Hee hee, after reading John's comment all I can see now is what he was seeing in #3

I really love fog images so these are great!

This is some sweet stuff, Jeff. Wow. I'm with John about a wee bit more detail.

Awesome light with the fog! Well done!

Thanks for the comment folks! Todd- I didn't get any shots of the kill. I noticed the inerds by the path and they were still soft and glistened in the light, but they weren't steaming. As for the snow, I live at 5K feet and I hiked up to about 6K, maybe a little lower, and the snow is pretty much gone from the south facing slopes and ridge tops until you get up to about 7 to 8K.
