Don't forget that if you show up before 6:30-7:00am in winter you will not be charged an entrance fee at RMNP. One of the best deals around, getting sunrise shots in the magestic RMNP for free.

...as with most national parks. Thanks Kane!

I just buy the annual pass and don't worry about entry fees. That way I'm also supporting the park system. Keep in mind that the annual pass is also good for getting up to Mt. Evans for free. I get my money's worth out of it every year.
I agree with avoiding all of the parks on the free days. I don't need the crowds.
I would agree with Jim. I just buy the annual pass every year and don't worry about fees. I more than get my money out of it and I'm supporting the parks.

What a nice gesture from your federal gov't. Might allow a family otherwise hard-pressed to enjoy our parks to do so.

I agree with Christopher. While many of us spend a great deal of time in our National Parks, most Americans have never set foot in one. This program encourages people to get out and visit and appreciate their local parks.
