On a whim, I went to all the regional forums to see what kind of activity they are getting since the new gallery thing went up. We are by far the most active forum!! Many of the other forums go several days with zero or one post. With that in mind, I also checked the galleries for the same forums and not much activity there either. I'm glad we stayed the way we were. We even got a couple new members so we must be doing something right!! Keep us motivated MORRIS!!!!

Ever since Scott and I started the CNP, er...RMNP forum it's been the busiest and most active one at NPN. What impresses me most is that in the ~8 years this forum has been active we've had incredibly few blow-ups due to jackass behavior in the forum. In fact, I can probably count them on one hand. This is easily the friendliest, most knowledgeable, funnest (if it wasn't a word it is now) and most social forum on NPN and possibly even the 'net. Keep up the great work, y'all!

I am so thankful to be an honorary member of this forum. The forum in my neck of the woods is not nearly as active. I've learned so much from the talent on here and am grateful to have friends halfway across the country!

Not having jackasses is pretty refreshing

This has been an inspiring week or so to say the least. Best place I've ever lurked!

Well, it didn't take much for this group to go over the edge, did it?
John, you are one of the best lurkers ever.
And yes, Aleks, cyberhugs all around!
10 posts yesterday, and 7 so far today. You miss an hour, you miss a lot. :jump:
Amy, it's always a pleasure to have you drop in, Jack you are keeping the forum rocking, and Bret, big thanks to you to get this place started. :toast:

I just got a history lesson on the beginnings of the RMNP (formerly CNP). So a huge THANKS goes out to Bret and Scott! I don't think I've seen one blow up since I've been on here. I've learned a ton here so thanks to everyone!

Just wondering....do any of the other forums have anything remotely resembling our annual Shindig?

High fives all around!

I have no idea...I think PNWNP does something. I would like to see us do some things throughout the year..maybe get together for some photo shoots or even some LR or PS training days if that would be possible...free workshops, not paid or very low cost!!! We have some VERY talented people in this forum with a wealth of knowledge that maybe we could tap into.

Jack: Back in the day Scott and I used to put stuff together quite often. We had organized fall color shoots, backpacking in RMNP, workshops on building a website, a light metering workshop...all kinds of stuff. I'm working on a spring get-together in Moab right now. Details are sketchy but as soon as we nail down a date, we'll get the ball rolling here in the forum.
