Flatirons today
It seems the southern end of the Front Range grassland and foothills got more snow this time around ~ I decided to wait for light on the grasses today and go for a gold and blue image. The grassland along the Flatirons is rare in the world - it's one of the largest remaining xeric tallgrass prairies, so there's a story in the grass. More snow would be awesome!

I love the light, but I prefer the grasses in the one you sent me, which you should post here also.

OK.

Once again Todd is right

The tall grass as the foreground element makes for a more interesting image.

Good job.

Both are great, but I also prefer #2

#1 is nice, but #2 holds my attention, Dave.

Nice warm light! Both are great. I also prefer the 2nd, the tall foreground grasses add so much to the comp.

Agree on 2. The light creates a great glow on the grass (say that three times fast).

both are great but I much prefer the second image

Wonderful color contrasts and like the others, I also prefer #2 because of the in-your-face grasses which really get my eyes involved.

I am lovin' that second one Dave...love the light and comp!!

Both have that great beautiful color combinations and wonderful light. I think I prefer the second one as well. And now I wish I would have gone there this morning like I was thinking about doing at 4:30! I could have met you as well as gotten some nice shots.
Aren't those grasses great!

Thanks folks - hey, how can Todd be right when I took the photo? errr, captured the image.

Morris, next big dump, I'll see you there. Tan 4Runner, hippie music blaring!

I'm another fan of #2. The gold and blue light interplay is beautiful!

#2 gets my vote. Both are very nice.

You got it, Dave.

#2 for me as well, but both are great shots!

Great light on the grasses! I think you may be in luck for more snow sooner than later...

Oh man, these are both nice but that 2nd one is super sweet. I love the golden light on the golden grasses. Good stuff, Dave.

I am lovin' #2, Dave. I'm glad you gave in to Todd's peer pressure!
