Not to small. At least 24" Have a look at Eizo monitors. Not cheap but very good.

Make sure that you can adjust the white point luminance. Most monitors are way too bright to give you a good match with printed output. You need to be able to get the luminance down to somewhere around 100 to 120cd/m2 to obtain a good display profile.

I have a NEC spectraview set at 100cd/m2 matched for output to print. Can't go wrong with either an EIZO or NEC.

I use an NEC Multisync EA231WMi.

It's the first IPS panelled monitor I've owned, so very good viewing angles, and colour accuracy.

Whatever you decide to get though, budget a bit for a hardware calibration device, they make a big difference to the output no matter the panel type.

If you watch the pennies like me Andy then the HP2475W, if you can find one, is a very good 24" panel to go for at 1920 x 1200 pixels, and it works well at luminance levels of 85 to 110 cdm.

If you fancy it though here's a nice monitor https://shop.colourconfidence.com/product.php?xProd=2684&xSec=10271   :jump: :jump:
