My morning commute
I love taking the back roads to work, so that's what I did yesterday. I've been eyeing this tree for awhile and yesterday conditions seemed right to stop and shoot. I'd love to hear any critiques. Thanks.

Paul,
This really works for me...low contrast monotone with good leading lines.

Well done - nice lead-in with the fence and a wild cottonwood having a bad hair day. The BW conversion looks good to my eye.

I love trees like this one and you did it justice with this capture. Nice, lonely feel to it. I wish I had a better commute, my scenic route would include a drive through Highlands Ranch cookie cutter neighborhoods

Yeah, this totally works for me! Well composed, and the lower contrast is perfect fo ra scene like this. Good stuff!

Very nice. I like how the branches are framing the tree in the distance.

Wonderful image. B&W does it for me.

Perfect conditions to catch this great tree. Excellent comp and exposure for a white-out wintry feel.

Really really nice. Love the lighter tone to the image. Great use of the leading line.

Great shot. I keep meaning to pull over one of these mornings when I see stuff like this on the way to work.

Excellent! I too love trees that look like this, but never seem to find them in a photogenic location. Sure glad you did. B&W processing is just perfect!

Very expressive. I really like this one!

Outstanding! Great composition and the bright overcast skies and snow on the ground really help isolate the darker tree.

++1! Great tone and mood. Well done.

Nice comp with the fence and road as vanishing lines, and how the main tree is darkest part of image to make it stand out. The wintery tree shows character to it curved limbs.

You gotta know I would like this one Paul..it reminds me of the shot I took the other day in the post below. I love the simplicity and I can feel the cold.
