Soaring Bald Eagle
Last week had a chance to get out in the cold weather to photograph some Bald Eagles. For the most part had some pretty good light. Thought the position of this first Eagle to be somewhat unique.

Great stuff Bob. Nice action.

Awesome series Bob. The haloing is a bit distracting (shadow/highlight work?) in these JPEGs.

Really like #4!

Some very beautiful shots here Bob. I agree with Jesse on the halos, but that should be an easy fix.

What an impressive body of work here! These are all superb, but the unique angle of #1 and the eagle fishing in #4 really take the prize.
I'm especially impressed that you were able to catch the eagle's eye between the feathers in #4. Had its face been hidden by the wing, this wouldn't have nearly the impact that it does.
Excellent work, Bob! :toast:

All are very artistic. The haloes can come from the shadow/highlight recovery and just from jpeg compression, too. The two together really make them show up. May not be as bad on your screen or as tiffs. Outstanding positions in every one of these, Bob!

Very nice. I never get anything like this, Guess I've got a lot to learn. Love the angle on #1!

Great series! I think that the bald eagles aways hide when I go out looking. :frown:

This is a wonderful series, Bob. I am really impressed by your ability to capture images like this. Wow!

Great shots! My favs are 3 and 4. 1 would be a contender if there was better light on the eye, but the angle of light combined with the deep set eye with overhanging eyebrow prevents that from happening.
