Congratulations to Philip Southard, for More Maples this week's pick in Flora - beautiful color, interesting textures and strong composition. It's hard to resist this caliber of image at any time but even more so after weeks of snow and the browns.

There were several other images that were seriously considered for the pick. They included:

Nathan Buck's Red Herring - Composition

Morris McClung's Haiku Two, Too - Composition

Gigi Guadagno's Symmetry - composition, color, light

Gary Yeoh's Dahlia Again - color, textures

Bill Chamber's Leafscape - composition, color, textures

As always there were many more accomplished images posted during the week. Thanks to everyone who posted and commented.

Thanks for the WP. There are so many fantastic and talented photographers here from whom I learn daily. To be picked is awesome, yet humbling.
