I can't remember if I posted this before. I probably did.
I was going through images last night cleaning up metadata and uploading to my new archive and this image prompted another look.
I ended up doing a toned B&W conversion. Let me know what you think. I'm reluctant to post this after Jesse's awesome B&Ws - tough act to follow.
I further surprised myself when I realized that this was taken with my G9!

I like it Kalin..only thing I'm not sure about is the leaves in the upper left. Tone treatment is good IMO.

The conversion looks pretty good, might need a bit of CCW rotation, and the leaves don't bother me as much as the shady blob in the LLC. It's a really nice basic comp but if it were mine I'd probably delete it and try another time

I think Pam is on to something. The leaves are good, but it gets heavy on that left side with the shadow in the foreground. I'd consider putting this in the "reshoot" category, with the big gun and maybe later in the morning? I think I'd like this a lot if the image weren't so left heavy. My two cents, since you asked. Great conversion.

Good points. Now I have a reason to head to Jackson! Thanks for the input.

FWIW, I like the toning you chose. Perfect for this particular scene.

I like everything about this except for the previously mentioned LLC. I like the way you framed the barn with the leaves, and I like the toning.

I like the conversion, but have mixed thoughts about the leaves and shadow, and wish the leaves did not obstruct the top of the left peak and clouds.

Since it was a "redux", I thought maybe it had a change in it's religious affiliation
Otherwise, yeah, I agree about the shadows, etc. The main problem with the leaves is they need to be on a higher branch so you can sneak in the mountains underneath. I was there last October and have an almost identical comp and had the same idea about how nice it would be if a tree trimming service hired by the NPS would help us photogs out.

The leaves don't bother me too much, but like Pam, I'm not sure about the shady corner. Perhaps a pano crop could help?

Exposure is perfect, toning is excellent. Yep, too left heavy. Definitely would like to see a do-over of this one.
