I grabbed this shot this last fall on Kebler pass. Within seconds the dear was gone!

So, you are very fond of this "deer" then? I think this is an outstanding landscape shot. You did so much right in this shot. The exposure, the comp, and the glow adds a touch of romanticism to the scene. Very idyllic.

Great job controlling the contrast with that dappled light. This is a really nice image of the animal in its environment.

"Idyllic" is a great description of this scene. It's tough shooting in that light. You did a superb job!

What an apropos title...this is amazingly good!
The 'development' you chose is so complementary to the image.
Nicely seen, captured and processed, Russ!

Oh, wiseguys ay!?!? Listen, at work I have the distinction of stumping spell check multiple times on the same word so it's not fair when I miss-spell something that's actually another word!
Seriously, thanks for all the encouraging words. It was a race because when I pulled up she (that little dear!) was munching away and I knew if I got out of the car she'd be gone in a flash so out the sunroof it was. She didn't hang around much longer even at that. Kebler was pretty cool this year.
