I took these shots at Castlewood Canyon before the coming of the deep cold and snow we had recently. The first shot was taken 15 minutes before sunrise and the second was taken 15 minutes after. Quite a change in temperature of the shots, but I like both for their different feel.

Then I liked this one for the mix of the cool warm as the light streamed across the treetops and sliced into the canyon.

Natures white balance beautifully demonstrated here Morris
These are exceptional images. The color change is beautiful.

Morris, I think all 3 are really nice! It's impossible for me to choose a favorite between 1 and 2. I agree the 3rd is special because of the mixture of cool and warm light.

Great comment, Pam! These are really nice, Morris. I find myself preferring the warmer toned #2 over #1, but then #3 just (figuratively) knocks it out of the park.

Well done my man!!! I'm on the other of Todd, I prefer the cooler #1 but agree #3 is sweeeeet!

Nice Morris. I like the gold coming off the water in the 2nd.

So do I.
What a neat comparison between the two temps! Pretty cool title, too.

2 & 3 do it for me! Nice to see that there are landscapes to photograph in the Castlewood area. If I leave the mountains we will probably end up in the Castle Rock area some day.

I like the comps on all of these, Morris. In the first two, the way the foreground shape in the rocks leads into the stream is pretty cool. I don't think I would have seen that out in the field. Good eye. The 3D quality to #3 is amazing. Nice work.
