Argh. In Photoshop Elements Organizer I want my JPG and CR2 files next to each other, like IMG_0001.jpg and then IMG_0001.CR2. That's the way they usually are. But sometimes for reasons unknown to me as of yet Organizer switches so that all the JPG files are together, followed by all the CR2 files. Impossible to manage that way. Double argh.
Does anyone who uses Photoshop Elements Organizer have any idea what's happening and how I can fix it? Thank you so much.

I forgot to say that I have googled (and still am googling) but haven't found any mention of this yet.

Hi Barbara! When you select Save As in PSE editor, there is a check box for this - "Save in version set with original." If this is not checked the JPG (or any other file type) will appear next to the CR2 file. This is assuming the check box for keeping it in the organizer is checked. If you are saving the file for posting purposes, you should look at Save for Web. My experience is you get more control and the image looks better in a browser than using save as. Save for Web does not give an option to keep the file in the organizer though.
I hope this helps.

Barbara, That's a function of how Photoshop has been programmed. Not much you can do other than create sub-directories; i.e., sub-folders.
Even in CS5, there's similar behavior.
Have fun,
