Bosque Del Birthday
Sorry I have been away from the forum for a few weeks. I hope to get some time this week to catch up on the great work here. I did manage to take a day off work last Friday since it was my birthday and headed back to Bosque for the weekend. The light and weather were fantastic! Here are just a few...I have a few thousand images to go through

even saw a roadrunner...this guy was super fast. I jumped out of the car and hand held my 500 as he sprinted across the road. I had only a total of about 5 seconds. Hopefully I will also get a chance to post more from the trip soon.

The second of the sandhill is really nice with the wing position against the background and how the left wing cuts up all the way into the sky. Another fine set. Tops here is the first, imo

Nice stuff, Kurt! If I had to pick, the first would be my choice. Nice to see the NM state bird as well!

These are all breathtakingly beautiful and pro caliber work, Kurt! I like 'em all equally, but I gotta give ya major props for capturing the elusive roadrunner. I'm looking forward to seeing much more from this birthday trip (..thousands?!)!

Beautifully shot Kurt and Hippo Birdie 2 Ewes. I love to watch the sandhills soar. Looking forward to seeing them again in Yellowstone this year.
